Women’s Alliance invites one and all (male and female!) to our December 1st Luncheon at the Turf Tavern, Mohawk Avenue, Scotia.  The Director of Education and Training at Youth Build, Rebecca Paavola, and the Director of Schenectady Works, Nathan Mandsager, will present, “Empowering Young People to move from generational poverty to sustainability, leadership and influence”.  The title is a mouthful, but the program promises to be exciting, informative and thought-provoking.

We are purchasing sturdy work gloves to give to Rebecca for distribution to the Youth Build members after our luncheon. The gloves cost $2.00 a pair and we will have a donation box available if you would like to “adopt a pair”!

Lunch will be served promptly at noon with the program following at 1:00.  Luncheon choices are Stuffed Pork Loin, Citrus Salmon or a vegetarian option; the cost is $13.00.  Please make a reservation by calling or emailing Mariko by Friday, November 25th at 399-4552 or mariko@nycap.rr.com.  If, after making your reservation, you find yourself unable to attend, please cancel with Mariko by Tuesday, November 29th, or be responsible for the cost of the meal.
