December 2018 Earth Circles Calendar

The Winter Solstice Observance:  “To Save the World” Thursday, December 21 at 7pm in the Great Hall.  For all people of all ages: Come celebrate the season as we turn away from darkness toward the light. We will follow those who search for Truth and Honesty in a procession that spirals through our sanctuary. There will be dance and beautiful music. During the service we will hang gifts of mittens, hats, scarves or blankets on the Mitten Tree*. We will call the directions, listen to stories, sing, light candles and drum to drive the dark away. This Earth-centered service is an opportunity to sit together in the darkened sanctuary and feel the magic of the season come alive. Cookies to share after the service are a blessing, thank you. (*Mittens, etc. will go to SICM- Schenectady Inner-City Ministry.)
