Native Flute Making Workshop with Eric Marczak

Saturday, February 17th & 24th, 10am-4pm:  The process of carving a native-style wooden flute gives you the opportunity to make an instrument that is deeply personal and special. Native flutes are sacred. They have been used for communication with Spirit, for courting, for connection and for celebration. Participants will be guided by renowned woodworker, luthier, and native flute carver, musician, and teacher, Eric Marczak. Eric works with those who are experienced carvers and those who have never held a tool in their lives. He will demonstrate various flutes and explain their history, evolution, and use. The class will carve their own native flutes over two Saturdays and initiate them at the following Full Moon Drum Circle, March 1st. Registration is open to all but space is limited to 6 adults, 16 years up. Cost is $125 and includes all materials. Last year’s class filled up quickly so don’t wait. Reserve your spot now.  Saturday, February 17th & 24th, 10am-4pm in the Dining Room at UUSS. Register at
