Dining for Dollars – Year 11

Thanks to all who have helped out!  Registration is now closed.

Eat In to Help Out:  On Wednesday, December 13, 2017 the Unitarian Universalist Society of Schenectady’s (UUSS) Social Action Committee is sponsoring the eleventh annual Dining for Dollars fundraiser.  This year, we will continue supporting Gulf Coast residents still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Katrina and  The MoonCatcher Project that provides menstrual pads to girls in Africa to help them stay in school. And this year we will also support Puerto Rico’s recover from Hurricane Maria.  All materials and labor for Dining for Dollars have been donated. All of your donations will benefit storm survivors in Louisiana and Puerto Rico and help girls in Africa.

Here’s how it works:
On Wednesday, December 13, 2017 we’ll make dinner for you and deliver it to your house between 5pm and 6pm.

Help us deliver to you. Turn your porch light on and leave a cooler for your delivery or tell us a safe place to put your food, and we’ll leave your order for you. You don’t have to dress up or go out. It all happens right in your house. You can put on your PJ’s and watch TV or you can invite friends and have a party.

If you live within area codes 12301, 12302, 12303, 12304, 12305, 12306, 12308, 12309, 12325, 12148 or [in Saratoga] 12866 we’ll bring your meal[s] right to your home. If you live further away you can pick up your food at UUSS [the Unitarian Universalist Society of Schenectady at 1221 Wendell Ave.] between 5 and 6 p.m. where we’ll be preparing the food.

We need your order by Sunday December 10th

Along with your meal you’ll receive a pre-addressed envelope. Put whatever donation you want into it and mail it back. ALL proceeds will go to our non-profit groups. ALL our food and supplies have been donated, so your money won’t be used for any overhead.
